Crock Pot Roast

Simply easy cooking.

Ingredients...
  • 1 beef roast, any kind about 3 pounds 
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package brown gravy mix, dry
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package dried Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package ranch dressing mix, dry (use half the packet)
  • 1/2 cup water  
Directions...
  1. Poke several holes in the roast & pat the roast with moist paper towels.
  2. Mix the dried mixes together in a bowl and rub onto the roast.
  3. Place beef roast in crock pot.
  4. Pour the water around the roast.
  5. Cook on low for 7-9 hours.
If you would like to add vegetables to the crock pot, consider potatoes, carrots, and onions.  You can heat up green beans and corn and dump them into the crock pot about 15 minutes before done.

**NOTE** After actually cooking this roast, I must admit it was a bit bland.  I would add garlic salt and pepper to the dry mix and rub onto roast before cooking.  I might even considering browning the roast slightly in a pan before palcing in crock pot.  The veggies turned out fantastic though!
