Thank Goodness for Mabon

Mabon or the Autumn Equinox is the transition from the light half to the dark half of the year. It is on this day that we witness equal lengths of day and night.

Mabon is a time to say good-bye to summer and embrace the restfulness of the coming months. You not only give thanks for a bountiful "harvest" and celebrate in all the earth has given, but take stalk on your personal life as well.

During this time of year, consider ridding yourself of things that make life hectic. Strive towards a peaceful balance... serenity.

Look at your schedule and simplify. Does your child really need to have 3 extra curricular activities? Do you have to finish __ today? Is it okay to continue working on it tomorrow?

Try having days that are just about family. Turn off the tv. Play games together. Go outside and watch the sunset.

On the Autumn Equinox, thank the goddess for all she has given and thank yourself for all you have accomplished and done.
