Harvest Time Activities for the Family

Harvest...  to gather ripened crops for the consumption as food

Harvest... to food that is gathered at the end of one growing season

There are some very simple ways to celebrate Harvest Time with your family.  As a family tradition, we have begun visiting the local orchard several times a year.
  • make a harvest blessing snack
  • harvest crops from your garden
  • make a commitment to banish bad habits and unwanted things from your life... write you commitment down on paper and bury it n the earth or burn it in your cauldron
  • set intentions to help you finish long-standing projects by the fall.
  • thank your garden for the bounty it has given
  • hold a harvest feast for friends and family
  • visit a local orchard or farmers market
  • make homemade jellies or jams
Hope you enjoy the bounty of your harvest.  And if you did not grow your own garden, you should really consider the local farmers market.  You can mind much more than just fruits and veggies at most.  Homemade breads and treats are always tastiest made from organic homegrown ingredients.
